JAKARTA – The Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) closed in the red zone today. According to Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) data, on Thursday (30/4/2026), the IHSG closed down 144.43 points or 2.03% at 6,956.80.

Throughout the trading session, the index opened at 7,103.26, reached a high of 7,109.00, and fell to a low of 6,876.58.

Trading activity was brisk, with a volume of 46.35 billion shares and a transaction value of Rp21.85 trillion, involving 2.639 million transactions.

The IHSG’s weakness aligned with corrections in several major indices. The LQ45 Index fell 14.80 points or 2.16% to 669.34.

The Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) weakened 1.87% to 462.11, while the Kompas100 Index dropped 2.24% to 936.17. The IDX30 Index corrected 1.79% to 372.80, and the JII70 weakened 1.93% to 179.54.

All sectors were recorded in the red zone. The infrastructure sector posted the deepest decline of 2.93%, followed by the industrial sector which weakened 2.95%, and the basic materials sector down 2.09%.

The financial sector fell 1.73%, the property and real estate sector weakened 2.19%, while the health sector corrected 1.15%. The transportation sector also dropped 0.80%, and the energy sector weakened 1.08%.

Among the LQ45 blue-chip stocks, PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) led the gains after rising 4.35% to Rp240 per share.

Followed by Alamtri Resources Indonesia (ADRO) which strengthened 3.28% to Rp2,520, and Adaro Andalan Indonesia (AADI) up 2.65% to Rp11,600.

Other stocks that also strengthened include PT AKR Corporindo Tbk (AKRA) by 1.94% to Rp1,580, and PT Indo Tambangraya Megah Tbk (ITMG) which rose 1.72% to Rp26,650.

Meanwhile, PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN) corrected 5.71% to Rp4,460, and PT Trimegah Bangun Persada Tbk (NCKL) fell 5.43% to Rp1,045.

Large-cap banking stocks were also uniformly in the red and pressured the index.

PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) shares fell 2.09% to Rp5,850, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI) weakened 2.61% to Rp2,990, PT Bank Negara Indonesia Tbk (BBNI) dropped 2.11% to Rp3,720, and PT Bank Mandiri Tbk (BMRI) corrected 0.90% to Rp4,390.
