IHSG Closes Down 0.68% at 6,858.90 Today

The Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) closed lower in trading today, Tuesday (12/5/2026). The IHSG fell 46.72 points or 0.68% to the level of 6,858.90. Throughout the trading session, the IHSG moved within the range of 6,762.88 to 6,977.29, with an opening level of 6,946.85. According to data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI), the share trading volume reached 31.08 billion shares, with a trading frequency of 2.514 million times. Despite this, the stock movements at the close of trading today were dominated by gains. A total of 217 stocks strengthened, 486 weakened, and 256 remained unchanged. Meanwhile, several local indices closed higher. The LQ45 rose 0.18% to 669.84, the KOMPAS100 increased 0.04% to 915.70, and the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) strengthened 0.59% to 449.51. The energy sector rose 0.01% to 3,469.34, the financial sector climbed 0.31% to 1,365.25, the basic materials sector gained 1.85% to 2,056.16, and the transportation sector increased 1.59% to 2,042.46. On the other hand, the industrials sector fell 3.20% to 1,892.80, the technology sector weakened 0.48% to 7,448.91, and the health sector dropped 3.52% to 1,622.49.
