IHSG Closes 0.77% Higher at 5,920 on 6 July 2026, Two Stocks Most Actively Traded
The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) Composite Index (IHSG) successfully closed in positive territory at the start of the trading week on Monday, 6 July 2026. The index continued its upward trend after also ending the previous week with gains.
Based on data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI), the IHSG closed 0.77 percent higher, or up approximately 45 points, at 5,920.931, compared to the previous closing position of 5,875.780. Throughout the trading session, the index moved in a fluctuating manner. The IHSG opened at 5,893.28, then touched a high of 5,935.68 and briefly fell to 5,857.35 before recovering to strengthen towards the close. This movement indicated that buying interest increased again during the second trading session, allowing the index to maintain its gains until the end of trading.
The rise on Monday continued the strengthening seen at the end of the previous week. On Friday (3/7/2026), the IHSG closed up 2.28 percent at 5,875.78, driven by positive sentiment from regional Asian stock markets. With today’s trading results, the IHSG recorded another increase and is moving closer to the psychological level of 6,000.
In terms of trading activity, shares of PT Bakrie & Brothers Tbk (BNBR) recorded the largest transaction volume throughout the session. BNBR posted a trading volume of 1,985,692,600 shares with a closing price of Rp105 per share. In second place was PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI), which was traded with a volume of 1,674,495,100 shares and closed at a price of Rp139 per share. Meanwhile, PT Perdana Bangun Pusaka Tbk (PADI) was in third position with a transaction volume reaching 782,533,300 shares.
