IHSG at Risk of Correction Ahead of May Inflation Data as Investors Watch DEWA, UNTR, BBCA, ANTM Shares
JAKARTA — The Indonesian Composite Stock Index (IHSG) is expected to remain vulnerable to correction on Tuesday (2 June 2026) as investors await the release of May 2026 inflation data and April 2026 trade surplus figures, projected to decline. Analysts recommend monitoring shares of DEWA, UNTR, BBCA, and ANTM. Technical analyst Herditya Wicaksana of MNC Sekuritas said investors are monitoring domestic and global sentiments that could influence the domestic stock market early this week. Domestically, attention is focused on inflation data, which provides insight into consumer purchasing power and future monetary policy direction. The initial implementation of the Natural Resource Export Foreign Exchange (DHE SDA) policy is also being watched. Meanwhile, the rupiah’s exchange rate against the US dollar remains a key factor affecting market sentiment. Herditya projected the IHSG’s support level at 6,071 and resistance at 6,161. “We expect the IHSG to remain vulnerable to correction with support at 6,071 and resistance at 6,161. Investors will monitor Indonesia’s inflation data and Middle East conflict developments. The rupiah’s exchange rate and initial DHE SDA implementation are also under scrutiny,” he told Kompas.com on Monday evening (1 June 2026). PT Darma Henwa Tbk (DEWA) shares have a target price of Rp384-Rp412. PT United Tractors Tbk (UNTR) shares are in the price range of Rp24,225-Rp25,250, and PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk (UNVR) shares target Rp1,805-Rp2,000. Meanwhile, Reza Diofanda, technical analyst at BRI Danareksa Sekuritas, said the IHSG remains in a short-term bearish trend. Technically, key support levels are between 5,900-6,000, with the nearest resistance at 6,200-6,285. “Key support levels are between 5,900-6,000, while the nearest resistance is at 6,200-6,285. As long as the index fails to break through that resistance, its movement is expected to remain constrained and vulnerable to pressure,” he added.
