The Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) will hold an auction of 11 exchange shares that have not been issued or have been bought back on Monday, 3 August 2026. The plan was announced by the BEI through Announcement Number Peng-00057/BEI.ANG/07-2026 dated 1 July 2026. The auction will be conducted openly starting at 14.00 WIB in the Main Meeting Room of the Indonesia Stock Exchange Building, Tower 1, 6th Floor, Jakarta. The BEI also provides an online option for participants who have registered. In the announcement, the BEI stated that the 11 exchange shares can only be transferred through the share auction mechanism in accordance with applicable regulations. The BEI explained that participants must meet the requirements stipulated in Exchange Regulation Number III-H concerning the Auction and Buyback of Exchange Shares. In addition, each participant must first qualify as an Exchange Member under Exchange Regulation Number III-A concerning Exchange Membership. Securities firms interested in the auction are required to submit a written application to the BEI, attaching a confirmation letter from the Exchange to purchase the exchange shares. The application must be received by the BEI no later than 23 July 2026 at 17.00 WIB. The BEI also emphasised that if no securities firm submits an application as a bidder by the deadline, the exchange share auction in August 2026 will not be held. This provision refers to Exchange Regulation Number III-H, which stipulates that the auction will not be conducted if there are no prospective bidders registered. In the same announcement, the BEI reiterated its commitment to implementing good corporate governance. All BEI personnel are prohibited from accepting gratuities in any form, and suspected violations can be reported through the whistleblowing system (Letter to IDX).
