IDX Targets 1,100 Listed Companies by 2030, Needs 30 IPOs Annually
The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) is targeting 1,100 listed companies by 2030. The Financial Services Authority (OJK) believes this target can be achieved if there are approximately 30 companies conducting initial public offerings (IPOs) each year.
Hasan Fawzi, Chief Executive of Capital Market, Derivatives, and Carbon Exchange Supervision at OJK, stated that there are currently 963 listed companies. “If the target is 1,100 by 2030, then there needs to be an addition of around 30 new stock IPOs every year,” he said in a written statement on Thursday.
Beyond the IPO target, the IDX also aims to bring the Indonesian capital market into the world’s top 10. With the addition of market capitalisation from the Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG), the OJK is optimistic this target can be met. “The addition of around 150 new, high-quality IPOs will further increase market capitalisation. Indonesia is currently ranked in the top 20 in terms of market capitalisation and transaction value,” Hasan added.
The overall fundraising target in the capital market for 2026 is set at Rp250 trillion. As of 30 June 2026, the total value of funds raised in the Indonesian capital market stood at Rp125.74 trillion.
The OJK views the fundraising prospects until the end of 2026 as remaining positive. Although global market conditions are still marked by various challenges, the interest of companies in utilising the capital market as a source of funding is maintained. This is evident from the sustained pipeline of public offerings. As of 20 July 2026, there were three IPO processes, including two Limited Public Offerings (PUT) with a maximum issuance value of Rp6.73 trillion, and four bond and sukuk processes with a maximum issuance value of Rp5.25 trillion. The OJK emphasised that it is not only focused on achieving fundraising values but also on improving the overall quality of the capital market.
