IDX Suspends ZINC, NUSA, and MSIE Shares Due to Unwarranted Price Surges
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - PT Bursa Efek Indonesia (IDX) has implemented a temporary suspension (suspension) of three stocks starting from the first trading session on Tuesday (5/5/2026). In a disclosure of information, the IDX stated that the three issuers affected by the suspension are PT Kapuas Prima Coal Tbk (ZINC), PT Sinergi Megah Internusa Tbk (NUSA), and PT Multisarana Intan Eduka Tbk (MSIE). The temporary halt in trading of these stocks was taken after a cumulative price increase in the three stocks was deemed significant. Based on IDX data, ZINC shares have tended to be stagnant over the past month, with a correction of around 6.2 per cent since the beginning of the year (year to date/YTD). Meanwhile, NUSA shares have also been observed to move stagnantly both on a monthly basis and since the beginning of the year. On the other hand, MSIE shares have shown a significant surge. Over the past month, this stock has skyrocketed by up to 167.3 per cent and strengthened by 156.2 per cent year to date. “The temporary suspension is carried out to give investors time to consider carefully based on the available information for every investment decision they make,” said Yulianto in the disclosure of information. He added that market participants are expected to pay attention to the disclosures of information provided by each company before making investment decisions. In addition, the IDX has also noted that it has reopened the suspension of trading in shares of PT BSA Logistics Indonesia Tbk (WBSA). With the lifting of that suspension, investors can now resume transactions in WBSA shares starting from the first trading session in the regular market and cash market on Tuesday (5/5/2026).
