The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) will remove the minimum price limit of Rp50 per share. The move is part of the exchange’s efforts to provide better liquidity access while improving the price discovery process in the Indonesian capital market.

“To provide better liquidity access and price discovery, we will remove the Rp50 minimum price limit,” said IDX President Director Jeffrey Hendrik to reporters on Thursday (20/8/2026).

He said that the removal of the minimum price limit is being prepared by considering input from various market participants. The IDX is still holding discussions and seeking input from industry players such as the Indonesian Securities Companies Association (APEI) and the Indonesian Investment Managers Association (AMII).

“Yesterday, on 19 August, a discussion was held with APEI and AMII to get responses from market participants. Discussions with global investors were also conducted,” he said.

However, the IDX still needs to gather all input from market participants before determining the policy design to be implemented.

“Details will be conveyed later after gathering input from market participants and also measuring the readiness of trading platforms at Exchange Members,” he concluded.
