IDX Monitors Fast Food Indonesia Shares After Unusual Market Activity
The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) is closely monitoring trading in shares of the company that operates KFC Indonesia, PT Fast Food Indonesia Tbk (FAST), due to an unusual increase in its share price (Unusual Market Activity).
Citing IDX’s public disclosure, the move was taken in order to protect investors, particularly FAST shareholders.
“In connection with the occurrence of Unusual Market Activity in FAST shares, we need to convey that the Exchange is currently observing the development of the transaction pattern of this stock,” wrote IDX management on Friday (14/8/2026).
However, the announcement of Unusual Market Activity (UMA) does not necessarily indicate a violation of capital market laws and regulations.
Therefore, investors are expected to pay attention to FAST’s response to the Exchange’s request for confirmation, observe FAST’s performance and its information disclosure, and review FAST’s corporate action plans if those plans have not yet received approval from the General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPS).
Investors should also consider various possibilities that may arise in the future before making investment decisions.
For information, FAST’s share price rose 17.8% over the past week and surged 65.9% over the past month to a level of Rp 448 per share, with a market capitalisation reaching Rp 2.03 trillion.
