The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) is open to revising its target for the number of companies conducting an Initial Public Offering (IPO) in 2026, amid high market volatility caused by a combination of domestic and global sentiment. The IDX had targeted 50 companies to go public as per its 2026 Work Plan and Budget, but to date only six companies have officially listed on the domestic capital market. “Whether we will revise it or not, that is still under discussion,” said IDX Corporate Assessment Director Saidu Solihin to the media at the IDX Building in Jakarta on Thursday. Nevertheless, the IDX remains optimistic that the Indonesian capital market will achieve its best performance amidst the market volatility throughout 2026. Currently, IDX management is holding discussions regarding the potential revision of the IPO target for 2026. “We are discussing whether we will revise it or not. And there is no decision yet. Like it or not, I still follow the work plan, which is the target,” said Saidu. As of 9 July 2026, six companies have officially conducted IPOs on the Indonesian capital market, raising a total of Rp1.73 trillion. Additionally, there are still six companies in the IPO pipeline, comprising three large-scale asset companies, one medium-scale asset company, and two small-scale asset companies. To date, the total number of listed companies on the Indonesian capital market stands at 962, with a target of reaching more than 1,100 companies by 2030.
