The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) Composite continued its upward trajectory during the first session of trading on Tuesday (6/10/2026). As of 10:12 WIB, the IDX Composite stood at 6,180.43, an increase of 61.57 points or 1.01%.

In terms of trading activity, transaction volume was recorded at 225.69 million lots with a transaction value reaching Rp4,030.75 billion, or approximately Rp4.03 trillion. This figure represents an increase compared to previous data, which recorded a transaction value of Rp3.86 trillion and a volume of 217.52 million lots, indicating intensifying market activity.

According to Refinitiv data, the sectors driving the IDX Composite during today’s first session included energy, which rose by 2.5%, followed by the industrial sector up 1.1%, and non-critical consumer goods up 0.8%.

Stocks driving the index included PT Bayan Resources Tbk (BYAN), PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI), PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), PT DCI Indonesia Tbk (DCII), and PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI).

Conversely, stocks weighing on the index included PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM), PT Mora Telematika Indonesia Tbk (MORA), PT Sinar Mas Multiartha Tbk (SMMA), PT Maha Properti Indonesia Tbk (MPRO), and PT Merdeka Gold Resources Tbk (EMAS).

Trading sentiment today stems from both domestic and international sources. While Japanese services activity slowed and consumer confidence weakened slightly, the Eurozone services sector recorded growth. However, rising producer prices in the region suggest that inflationary pressures have not yet subsided, meaning growth prospects must be weighed against the risks of monetary policy tightening.

Today, attention shifts to the speech by Bank of Japan (BOJ) Governor Kazuo Ueda and the United States trade balance data. Long-term US Treasury yields surged to their highest levels in over two decades on Monday (5/10/2026), as investors scrutinised recent economic data and awaited the minutes from the September Fed meeting. The 10-year Treasury yield rose by 3 basis points to 5.307%, having briefly spiked by 7 basis points to 5.349%, the highest level since 3 April 2002. Meanwhile, the 30-year Treasury yield rose by 3 basis points to 5.661%, after touching 5.703%, the highest level since late May 2002. One basis point is equivalent to 0.01%.

Domestically, the queue of public offerings is drawing attention regarding corporate funding, while regulations on the transfer of mineral exchange supervision add important developments to financial market restructuring. The OJK (Financial Services Authority) stated yesterday that there are 29 planned public offerings in the queue with a total indicative value of Rp26.47 trillion. Meanwhile, funds raised through public offerings up to September have reached Rp186.03 trillion, against a target of Rp250 trillion for the whole of 2026. This queue indicates that companies continue to utilise the capital market as a source of funding; however, the indicative value does not represent realised funds, and public offerings do not solely refer to equity IPOs.
