IDX Closely Monitors DWGL and GIAA Shares After Unusual Price Surges
The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) is closely monitoring the trading patterns of PT Dwi Guna Laksana Tbk. (DWGL) and PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. (GIAA) following unusual market activity (UMA) starting Tuesday (11/8/2026). The shares were flagged due to an unreasonable increase in their prices.
According to an IDX disclosure, the movement of these shares was outside normal patterns. The measure is intended to protect investors, particularly shareholders of the two companies. The exchange management stated that the UMA announcement does not necessarily indicate a violation of capital market regulations.
Regarding the UMA on DWGL shares, the exchange noted that it is currently observing the development of the stock’s transaction patterns. Market data shows DWGL shares rose 7.58% to Rp426 per share at the previous day’s close. Over the past month, DWGL has surged 93.64%, with a year-to-date increase of 31.48%.
Following this announcement, investors are urged to pay attention to the companies’ responses to the exchange’s request for confirmation, review their performance and information disclosures, and reassess any corporate action plans that have not yet been approved by the General Meeting of Shareholders. Investors should also consider various potential future scenarios before making investment decisions.
Similarly, the IDX is paying special attention to GIAA shares due to unusual transaction volatility. During yesterday’s trading, the airline’s shares rose 6.94% to Rp77. GIAA shares have increased 48.08% over the past month, but are down 19.79% year-to-date.
