IDX Breaks MURI Record, 23 Investment Galleries Inaugurated Simultaneously
PT Bursa Efek Indonesia (IDX), together with MNC Sekuritas and supported by the Financial Services Authority (OJK), simultaneously inaugurated 23 IDX Investment Galleries (GI BEI) in various regions of Indonesia on Thursday (27/8). The inauguration also led the IDX to set a record with the Indonesian World Records Museum (MURI).
IDX Development Director Iding Pardi said the opening of the GI BEI represents a form of synergy between the IDX, securities firms, and educational institutions in expanding capital market literacy and inclusion, particularly among the younger generation.
“The opening of Investment Galleries is a tangible manifestation of synergy between the IDX, securities firms, and educational institutions in bringing the capital market closer to the public, especially the younger generation,” Iding said in a press release on Friday (28/8).
To date, the IDX has more than 1,000 GI BEI spread across 29 representative offices and one Jabodebek area. Of that number, 137 galleries are the result of cooperation with MNC Sekuritas.
The 23 galleries inaugurated include GI BEI, GI Edukasi BEI, GI Digital BEI, and GI Syariah BEI located at a number of universities, schools, and foundations in various regions.
In addition to the gallery inauguration, the activity also recorded 5,938 IDX Mobile subscribers as of 17 August 2026, exceeding the target of 5,000 subscribers. The three GI BEI with the highest subscriber contributions were GI Syariah BEI UIN Kendari with 1,321 subscribers, GI BEI Universitas IBA Palembang with 665 subscribers, and GI BEI MNC University with 599 subscribers.
For these achievements, the relevant GI BEI will receive certificates of appreciation, while the MURI record certificate was awarded to the IDX as the record holder.
The IDX hopes that the presence of GI BEI can further expand access to capital market education and information, while encouraging the public to understand investment and participate in the capital market wisely in accordance with their investment objectives.
