The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) has revealed that eight exchange members (AB) have not yet participated in the trial for changing the minimum share price limit from Rp50 to Rp1 per share.

IDX President Director Jeffrey Hendrik said the trial process, which has been running, has been ‘quite successful’. The bourse will follow up with the exchange members that have not yet participated.

‘Overall it has been quite successful. There are around 8 exchange members that have not participated. We will follow up on them in the next trial,’ Jeffrey said when met at the IDX Building, Jakarta, Friday (28/8/2026).

The IDX, he said, will adjust the implementation of the trial to the readiness of all exchange members. This is to ensure that all exchange members are ready before the policy is fully implemented.

‘We will adjust to the readiness of all exchange members. Because we will ensure all exchange members are ready before we go live. The extension of trading hours is a separate study. It is not related to the minimum price,’ Jeffrey said.

As previously reported, the IDX will remove the minimum price limit of Rp50 per share. The move is part of the bourse’s efforts to provide better liquidity access while improving the price discovery process in Indonesia’s capital market.

‘To provide better liquidity access and price discovery, we will remove the Rp50 minimum price limit,’ Jeffrey told reporters on Thursday (20/8/2026).

He said the removal of the minimum price limit is being prepared by considering input from various market participants. The IDX is still holding discussions and seeking input from industry players such as the Indonesian Securities Companies Association (APEI) and the Indonesian Investment Managers Association (AMII).
