IDX Awaits P2SK Law Derivative Regulations for Demutualisation Process
The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) is still awaiting derivative regulations from the Financial Sector Development and Strengthening Law (UU P2SK) to further process its demutualisation initiative. IDX President Director Jeffrey Hendrik stated during a press conference following the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPST) in Jakarta on Monday that the exchange is waiting for further regulatory arrangements stemming from the P2SK Law. Jeffrey confirmed that the IDX will certainly coordinate with all relevant stakeholders during the demutualisation process. He added that beyond being a legal mandate, the exchange believes demutualisation will make the Indonesia Stock Exchange more modern and agile, thereby facilitating the achievement of the targets set for the Indonesian capital market.
