Idulfitri Alert: PLN Indonesia Power Secures Electricity Supply

JAKARTA — PLN Indonesia Power has deployed thousands of personnel and operational posts to maintain the reliability of the national electricity supply during the Idulfitri 1447 H celebration period.

The initiative involves preparing 114 alert posts and deploying 12,597 personnel across various power generation units to ensure the electricity system remains stable throughout the festive season.

Bernadus Sudarmanta, Chief Executive of PLN Indonesia Power, stated that operational readiness of generation facilities is the company’s priority to ensure electricity supply remains reliable during Idulfitri.

“PLN Indonesia Power is committed to ensuring all generation units operate optimally through infrastructure readiness, strengthening operational systems, and professional human resource support,” Bernadus said in an official statement in Jakarta on Monday, 9 March 2026.

“With generation capacity support of 15.03 gigawatts and the readiness of 114 posts and 12,597 personnel, we are prepared to maintain electricity supply reliability during the Idulfitri period so that public activities can proceed safely and comfortably,” he added.

Overall, PLN Indonesia Power maintains generation capacity of 15.03 gigawatts ready for operation to meet public electricity needs whilst maintaining the stability of the national electricity system during the Idulfitri alert period.
