Idul Fitri Outreach: Prabowo Calls Palestinian President and Others
Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has once again telephoned several friendly nation leaders to exchange Idul Fitri greetings for 1447 Hijriah. Previously, Prabowo had called Muslim country leaders such as his friend King Abdullah II of Jordan and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. According to a post on the @sekretariat.kabinet Instagram account on Monday evening (23/3), this time he called leaders from neighbouring countries to Palestine. “President Prabowo has continued communication via telephone with friendly nation leaders. Among them are Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas; Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi; UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed; and Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim,” the account posted. Citing Antara, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya stated, “This outreach is part of efforts to maintain closeness and strengthen inter-state cooperation, especially during the meaningful Idul Fitri holiday.” Furthermore, he noted that Prabowo also conducted outreach via telephone with Muslim country leaders, including Turkish Republic President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the King of Jordan, and MbS.
