Idul Adha in Labuan Bajo: 912 Animals Sacrificed, Including Prabowo's Black Cattle

A total of 912 animals were sacrificed for Idul Adha in West Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), on Wednesday, 27 May 2026. The animals comprised 727 cattle and 185 goats. ‘The total number of sacrificial animals in West Manggarai Regency is 912, consisting of 185 goats and 727 cattle,’ said Djainuddin H Ali, Chairman of the West Manggarai Islamic Holiday Celebration Committee (PHBI). Djainuddin added that the sacrificial animals included a 753kg black Brangus bull donated by President Prabowo Subianto and two cattle from West Manggarai Regent Edistasius Endi. The President’s donation was delivered to Baiturrahim Mosque in Lamtoro, Labuan Bajo. West Manggarai Regent Edistasius Endi handed over the donation to the mosque’s Takmir and management committee for slaughter and distribution to the local community.
