Idul Adha Holiday: No Odd-Even Traffic Restrictions Today in Jakarta
Odd-even traffic restrictions have been suspended across several Jakarta road segments today, in line with the Idul Adha holiday and compensatory leave for 1447 Hijriah. The Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub DKI Jakarta) announced on Instagram that the restrictions will not be enforced for two days during the Idul Adha holiday on Wednesday, May 27, and Thursday, May 28. “In line with the national holiday and compensatory leave for Idul Adha 1447 H on May 27-28, 2026, the odd-even traffic system will be suspended across various Jakarta road segments,” according to Dishub DKI Jakarta. The agency explained that the suspension follows the Joint Ministerial Decree (SKB) from the Ministry of Religion, Ministry of Manpower, and Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform, numbered 1497 of 2025, 2 of 2025, and 5 of 2025, concerning National Holidays and Compensatory Leave for 2026. Additionally, Jakarta Regional Regulation (Pergub) No. 88 of 2019, Article 3(3), states that odd-even traffic restrictions do not apply on Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays designated by presidential decree. The regulation specifies that such restrictions are not enforced on Saturdays, Sundays, and government-declared national holidays. Despite the temporary suspension, the public is urged to comply with traffic rules and prioritise safety while driving.
