The celebration of Idul Adha 1447 Hijriyah in Bungku Pesisir, Morowali Regency, Central Sulawesi, has been leveraged as a momentum to strengthen social awareness and unity among local communities, government, and industrial stakeholders in the area. Five sacrificial cattle were distributed to residents of surrounding villages, the district government, and police authorities. The Distribution included two cattle for Sambalagi Village, one for Were’ea Village, one for Bungku Pesisir district government, and one for Bungku Pesisir Police Station. The Distribution took place on Wednesday, 27 May, following a collective Idul Adha prayer led by company management and staff at the industrial area mosque. Symbolic handover was followed by a community-driven slaughtering process. Indy from PT International Green Industrial Park’s (IGIP) ESG team stated that the sacrificial programme forms part of the company’s commitment to maintaining good relations with nearby communities. ‘Through Idul Adha, PT IGIP aims to actively engage with the community. This initiative is not just about social responsibility but also a demonstration of gratitude and a step to strengthen harmonious ties between the company, local government, and residents,’ Indy said on Thursday, 28 May 2026. Sambalagi Village head Hendra noted the cattle donations provided direct benefits to residents while reinforcing community-industry relationships. ‘We express our gratitude for the two sacrificial cattle. The joint effort between the company and locals in the slaughtering process today reflects a strong relationship,’ Hendra said. Were’ea Village head Edy added that the donations were well-targeted, directly reaching those in need. ‘PT IGIP’s assistance is precisely targeted and distributed to those in need. We highly appreciate the management’s consistent efforts to maintain communication and care for our village,’ Edy said. All meat was then neatly packed and distributed to residents. Recipients expressed gratitude and hoped for consistent annual programmes.
