Idul Adha 2026: JK Urges Global Unity for Palestine Rehabilitation

Former Indonesian Vice President Jusuf Kalla, who served as the country’s 10th and 12th Vice President, highlighted the importance of Palestine’s rehabilitation during the Idul Adha 1447 H period. He stated that the international community must unite to aid the recovery of war-affected areas, particularly in Gaza.

Following Eid al-Adha prayers at Al-Azhar Grand Mosque grounds on Wednesday, 27 May 2026, Kalla assessed Gaza’s situation as better than last year due to reduced attack intensity.

“Gaza is somewhat better than last year. Last year was full of attacks, now weapon use has decreased,” Kalla told reporters.

Kalla expressed hope that all parties could reach a peace agreement and that the international community would unite to assist in rehabilitating war-affected regions.

“May they agree, may the world unite to rehabilitate everything,” he said.

Kalla also noted that Idul Adha serves as a reminder of sacrifice, unity, and the strength of the community.
