IDT donates money to poor sub-districts

The chief of the Jakarta rural development directorate, Muhamad Amin, yesterday donated a sum of Rp40 million to 120 villagers living in two least developed sub-districts, Tegalalur and Kamal, located in Kalideres subdistrict, West Jakarta.

The donation was provided under the Inpres Desa Tertinggal (IDT-Presidential Instruction on Least Developed Areas) scheme.

The money was given through the Muamalat Bank which, in turn, distributed it to the representatives of the people concerned, Antara reported.

The money was equally distributed to 60 people at Tegalalur and the rest for those who live at Kamal. Each received Rp 150,000.

According to the head of the West Jakarta rural development office, Nurhasan Abdillah, at present there are five other slum subdistricts in his area which will soon receive financial aid under the IDT program.(bas).
