JAKARTA — A free homebound travel programme operated by state-owned enterprises (SOEs) is resuming ahead of Eid al-Fitr 2026. This year, IDSurvey Group is dispatching 1,400 passengers to various regions across Indonesia via bus and train transport.

The programme is part of the Collective Homebound Travel Initiative 2026, a collaborative effort by multiple state-owned companies designed to facilitate public travel to their hometowns at more affordable rates.

IDSurvey Chief Executive Officer Arisudono Soerono stated that the company’s participation in the programme represents a corporate social commitment to assist the public in undertaking homebound travel more safely and comfortably.

“This Collective Homebound Travel programme is a concrete manifestation of IDSurvey Group’s commitment to providing benefits to the community,” Arisudono said in an official statement in Jakarta on Monday (17 March 2026).

“Through this programme, we aim to help passengers return to their hometowns with safer, more comfortable, and more affordable travel,” he added.

Programme participants include members of the general public, residents in the company’s operational areas, and IDSurvey frontline workers such as security officers, receptionists, cleaning staff, and drivers.

To support homebound travel, the company is providing 22 bus fleets and train services to numerous destinations across various regions of Indonesia.

Bus services operate routes to Semarang, Yogyakarta via the southern route, Yogyakarta via the coastal route, Wonogiri, Solo or Surakarta, Surabaya, Malang, Lampung, Palembang, and Padang. Meanwhile, train services operate to Surabaya.

Train departures are scheduled for 16 March 2026 from Pasar Senen Station in Jakarta. Bus departures are scheduled for 17 March 2026 from Ring Road Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) in Senayan, Jakarta, and from IDSurvey Group entity offices.

PT Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia Director General R. Benny Susanto stated that the programme is expected to provide a safe and efficient travel solution for the public during the homebound period.

“This Collective Homebound Travel programme is presented as a safe, comfortable, and efficient travel solution,” said Benny.

“In this way, the community can reunite with their families on the day of victory more easily,” he added.
