Bogor Regency (ANTARA) - Bogor Regency has entered the top three most advanced regencies in West Java based on the 2025 Regional Competitiveness Index (IDSD) released by the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN). The Head of the Regional Research and Innovation Agency (Bapperida) of Bogor Regency, Bambam Setia Aji, in Cibinong on Friday, stated that this achievement is the result of development planning aligned with the direction of local government policies. Bogor Regency occupies third place with a score of 3.94, an increase from 2024 when it was in fourth position with a score of 3.81. This achievement demonstrates consistent improvement in regional competitiveness. Bogor Regency also recorded positive performance at the Java regional level, occupying fourth place among the most advanced regions with a score of 89.940. This ranking improvement is considered inseparable from the direction of regional development policies that focus on accelerating infrastructure development, improving the quality of human resources, and strengthening investment and economic growth. In addition, Bogor Regency’s position as a strategic buffer area for the capital and part of the Jabodetabek metropolitan area further strengthens its investment appeal and economic activities. The Bogor Regency Government is also continuing to promote bureaucracy digitalisation through strengthening the Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE), as well as developing leading sectors such as industry, modern agriculture, and tourism. Nevertheless, the Bogor Regency Government still faces several challenges, including improving the quality of human resources and equitable development across regions.
