IDs operation planned

The head of the City Population Office, Sudarsono, announced
that his office will soon launch a large-scale operation against
citizens holding double citizenship cards in the Greater Jakarta.

Sudarsono was quoted by the Antara news agency as saying that
more than 500,000 people holding Jakarta ID cards live in the
greater Jakarta area, which also covers Tangerang, Bogor and
Bekasi.

Those residents mostly decline to terminate their Jakarta ID
cards even though they have new cards given by the new
neighborhood chief in their new residence.

He reminded residents to avoid having double cards so as not
to obstruct the computerization system of citizenship cards.
