IDR 580 Billion in Investment Flows into Lebak, Banten, Creating 2,856 Jobs
As many as 212 domestic (PMDN) and foreign (PMA) investment companies have invested in Lebak Regency, Banten, in the first quarter of 2026. This investment has created 2,856 local jobs.
Robertus Erwin, a policy analyst at the Lebak Regency Investment and One-Stop Integrated Service Agency (DPMPTSP), said that the total number of companies investing in the area reached 212, with 664 projects.
“The number of PMDN and PMA companies investing in the region in the first quarter of 2026 reached 212 companies with 664 projects, and they have created 2,856 local jobs,” Robertus said in Lebak, Banten, on Friday.
The gas, electricity, and water sector followed with an investment value of IDR 126 billion.
Then, the housing, industrial estates, and office sector recorded IDR 98 billion.
The hotel and restaurant sector recorded an investment of IDR 55 billion.
Meanwhile, the basic metal, non-machinery metal goods, and equipment sectors reached IDR 29 billion.
South Korea invested IDR 7 billion. Malaysia and the UK each recorded an investment of IDR 5 billion.
“We hope that in the future, many more PMDN and PMA companies will invest in this region, thereby encouraging an increase in the Regional Gross Domestic Product (PDRB) and accelerating the reduction of extreme poverty in accordance with Presidential Instruction No. 08 of 2025,” said Robertus.
