IDR 250 Million Bounty Officially Closed, KDM Redirects Prize to Confinement Victim
The arrest of Taufik Hidayat, the perpetrator of the confinement and assault against YTR, remains in the public spotlight. In addition to the criminal case, the bounty previously announced by West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi, known as KDM, has also drawn attention. On Tuesday morning, KDM announced a bounty of IDR 250 million for anyone who could provide information or help uncover the whereabouts of Taufik Hidayat. Now that Taufik Hidayat has been successfully apprehended, KDM has stated that the bounty is officially closed. “To all netizens wherever you are, we announce that the bounty of IDR 250 million for whoever found the perpetrator of the atrocity against Vita, namely Taufik Hidayat, has ended and the criminal has been arrested by the West Java Regional Police,” he said, as quoted from his Instagram account on Thursday, 25 June 2026. Regarding the IDR 250 million prize, after coordinating with West Java Police Chief Inspector General Rudi Setiawan, the funds will be given to the confinement victim. The money will be placed in a deposit and handed over on 1 July 2026, coinciding with the Indonesian National Police’s Bhayangkara Day. “Furthermore, I have coordinated with the West Java Police Chief, and the Chief suggested that the IDR 250 million be handed over to the victim’s family. I am handing it over in the form of a deposit certificate worth IDR 250 million. On 1 July 2026, in conjunction with Bhayangkara Day, we will hand over the Bank Jabar deposit certificate worth IDR 250 million,” he said. On the occasion, KDM also expressed his gratitude to the West Java Regional Police force for successfully arresting Taufik Hidayat, the perpetrator of the confinement and assault against YTR, on Tuesday night. “For that, I express my thanks. I hope a similar incident does not happen again, and I thank the West Java Regional Police force for working hard and swiftly capturing the perpetrator of this cruel crime and confinement. Hatur nuhun, regards to all,” he said.
