IDR 118 Trillion in BI Liquidity Flows to Banks to Support Housing Sector
Bank Indonesia (BI) has recorded that the realisation of the Macroprudential Liquidity Policy (KLM) for financing incentives in the housing, real estate, and construction sectors reached IDR 118 trillion as of September 202im.
Bank Indonesia Governor, Destry Damayanti, revealed that the KLM incentive ceiling allocated for the housing, real estate, and construction sectors is actually set at 1.4% of the total banking third-party funds (DPK), but the current realisation is 1.32%, equivalent to IDR 118 trillion.
“The realised portion is approximately 1.32%. Therefore, there is actually still 0.08% that can be further optimised,” Destry told reporters during a press conference alongside the Minister of Housing and Residential Areas (PKP), Maruarar Sirait, at the BI Building on Friday (2/10/2026).
Destry detailed that the IDR 118 trillion from liquidity easing—in the form of reduced statutory reserve requirements (GWM) for banks providing financing to the housing sector—has currently been absorbed and received by 111 banks.
The impact of this incentive directly supports the proportion of credit and financing in the housing, real estate, and construction sectors.
“Each stands at 18.76%, which is equivalent to 18.9% of total banking credit as of August 2026,” Destry added.
