The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Yogyakarta City Police has identified the funder who facilitated the escape of suspects in the murder of a student with the initials AA (18) near SMAN 3 Yogyakarta. The funder, identified as Taufik, has been placed on the wanted list alongside three other fugitives.

The acting head of Unit 3 of the Yogyakarta City Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Ipda Gara Kinarta Immanuel Purba, explained that Taufik financed the suspects’ flight to Cilacap, covering the cost of a rental car and fuel. "The main suspects who are still at large are three individuals, one of whom is a minor, and the other two are adults. The funder, Taufik, is also an adult," Gara stated at the Yogyakarta City Police headquarters on Tuesday.

Gara elaborated that Taufik’s role was to assist the perpetrators in evading law enforcement and complicating the investigation. He noted that Taufik does not appear to have a primary occupation and is believed to move in the same social circles as the main suspects.

The suspects already in custody include LTF (18), YSF (18), and a minor with the initials F (17), who is considered the main perpetrator. SR (19), who acted as a facilitator for the escape, has also been arrested. The three fugitives still being pursued are Martino, Maja, and Farel.

Gara confirmed that the police are coordinating with the Mobile Investigation Unit and the Jatanras unit of the Yogyakarta Regional Police to track down the wanted individuals. Should the three fugitives remain at large by the time the investigation deadline for the detained suspects expires, their case files will be separated. "If the three DPOs are not found by the time phase two is reached, we will split the files and proceed with the investigation and transfer of the suspects already in custody to the prosecutor’s office," he concluded.
