The development of the creative economy is increasingly linked to the use of digital technology, both in production and transactional activities. This trend is reflected in the hosting of IdeaFest 2026, held from 4–6 September 2026 at the Jakarta International Convention Centre (JICC), Senayan, Jakarta, with BNI participating through ‘wondr by BNI’ as the Official Banking Partner.

Entering its 15th year, IdeaFest 2026 adopts the theme ‘Re:Humanize’, highlighting the position of humans amidst the expanding use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the workplace, creativity, and social interaction. Over the three-day event, IdeaFest features more than 500 speakers and 160 sessions covering various topics, ranging from AI, creativity, business, and entertainment to culture and technology.

BNI’s involvement in the event includes supporting digital transactions for visitors and business players within the IdeaFest ecosystem. The services utilised include ‘wondr by BNI’ for consumer transactions and ‘wondr Merchant’ for tenants.

BNI Corporate Secretary, Okki Rushartomo, stated that the creative industry serves as a space for the younger generation to develop new ideas, works, and economic activities. He noted that the use of technology must continue to place humans as the directors of ideas, creativity, and decision-making.

“The ‘Re:Humanize’ theme aligns with BNI’s view that technology should be an enabler that helps humans flourish, rather than replacing the human role as the director of ideas, creativity, and decisions. Through the presence of ‘wondr’ at IdeaFest, we want to support community activities while providing transaction convenience that can be utilised throughout the event,” Okki said in a written statement on Friday (4/9/2026).

During IdeaFest 2026, visitor transactions using BNI banking services are accompanied by several promotional schemes. For ticket purchases, for instance, there is a ‘Buy 1 Get 2’ programme for transactions using BNI debit or credit cards via ‘wondr by BNI’ until 6 September 2026, subject to availability.

Various transaction facilities are also available during the event, including 0 per cent instalments for up to 12 months for ticket purchases using BNI Credit Cards. Tenures of three, six, and 12 months are available, while certain transactions within the IdeaFest area can receive cashback of up to Rp80,000 and 0 per cent instalments for a three-month period, subject to applicable terms.

Similar programmes also include new customer acquisition. Applying for a BNI Credit Card through ‘wondr’ comes with cashback of up to Rp500,000, while opening an account via ‘wondr by BNI’ provides rewards of up to Rp100,000 or a suitcase. Additionally, the activation of ‘wondr’ for customers who have not yet used it includes a reward of Rp20,000 upon meeting transaction requirements.

On the business side, BNI utilises ‘wondr Merchant’ to support digital payment acceptance, including via QRIS. This service allows tenants to receive and manage transactions throughout the duration of IdeaFest.

“BNI wants to ensure that support for the creative economy comes not only from the consumer side but also from the business side. Through ‘wondr Merchant’, we are supporting tenants so they can receive and manage digital transactions more easily,” said Okki.

The use of digital services in creative economy events demonstrates the growing need for integrated transactions between consumers, businesses, and organisers. For the banking sector, these developments create opportunities to expand the use of digital services while adapting to changing transaction patterns in the creative sector.

As a State-Owned Enterprise (SOE) within the Danantara Indonesia ecosystem, BNI stated it will continue its digital transformation and collaboration with various sectors to expand access to financial services and support economic activities that are increasingly connected to the digital ecosystem.
