Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia — The state-owned food holding company ID FOOD has finally recorded a profit in 2025 amounting to Rp 393 billion. ID FOOD’s President Director Ghimoyo explained that this profit achievement was realised after suffering losses since 2021.

“ID FOOD’s net income was positive in 2025 due to the impact of operational improvements and the results of the restructuring that has been carried out,” he stated during a meeting with Commission VI at the DPR RI building in Jakarta on Monday (30/3/2026).

In his presentation, it was noted that the company faced pressure starting in 2021 with a loss of Rp 823 billion. The loss then narrowed in 2022 to Rp 298 billion. The losses continued to shrink in 2023 to Rp 194 billion. However, they slightly widened in 2024 to Rp 231 billion.

The full-year profit achievement in 2025 was driven by revenue that also increased to Rp 27.4 trillion from Rp 18.3 trillion in 2024. Overall, since 2021, the compound annual growth rate (CAGR) has been around 16%.

This increase was driven by sales of three main products: sugar, beef, and buffalo meat.

In addition, Ghimoyo continued, ID FOOD also succeeded in increasing sugarcane productivity from 65.7 tonnes per hectare in 2024 to 76.1 tonnes per hectare in 2025.

Meanwhile, in terms of profitability, ID FOOD’s EBITDA grew significantly to Rp 740 billion in 2025 from Rp 440 billion in 2024. The EBITDA increase occurred due to operational efficiencies. This is reflected in the EBITDA ratio rising from Rp 58.7 million to Rp 106.6 million in 2025.

ID FOOD’s total assets also increased throughout 2025 to Rp 53.9 trillion from Rp 52.4 trillion in 2024.
