Prof. Dr. Agus Subekti, MT, Head of the Master’s Informatics Study Programme at Universitas Nusa Mandiri (UNM), was one of the keynote speakers at the International Conference on Information Technology Research and Innovation (ICITRI) 2026. The international conference was held on 10–11 September 2026 at Universitas Nusa Mandiri’s Margonda campus in Depok, in a hybrid format combining in-person and online participation via Zoom.

ICITRI 2026 carried the theme “Next-Generation AI for Human-Centered Innovation and Sustainable Futures”. The academic forum brought together researchers, academics and practitioners from various regions to share ideas and the latest research findings in the fields of information technology and computer science.

In his presentation, Prof. Agus emphasised the importance of developing artificial intelligence (AI) that remains focused on humanity and sustainability. His participation provided an academic perspective from UNM, known as a Digital Business Campus, in responding to the direction of global technological development.

“The development of artificial intelligence must be directed towards creating a positive impact on human life. AI-based research and innovation need to be designed to solve real problems in society while supporting future sustainability,” said Prof. Dr. Agus.

In addition to Prof. Agus, the international conference also featured a line-up of experts from abroad, including Prof. Yasuyuki Nogami from Okayama University, Japan, and Prof. Celia Shahnaz. Various leading research topics were discussed at the event, ranging from Machine Learning, Cloud Computing and Software Engineering to Biomedical Informatics.

Prof. Agus’s involvement in this internationally scaled forum reaffirms the commitment of UNM’s Master’s Informatics Study Programme to promoting adaptive research. This step is expected to continue strengthening global academic networks and producing technological innovations relevant to the needs of industry and wider society.
