ICEF-IPFE 2026 Opens, Targets 15,000 Visitors and Promotes Data-Driven Procurement
The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), together with the National Public Procurement Agency (LKPP) and the Indonesian Procurement Experts Association (IAPI), officially opened the Indonesia Catalogue Expo and Forum (ICEF) and Indonesia Procurement Forum & Expo (IPFE) 2026 at the Grand Ballroom of JIEXPO Kemayoran, Jakarta, on Wednesday (29/7/2026).
Wakil Ketua Umum Koordinator Bidang Pengembangan Ekspor Kadin Indonesia, Juan Permata Adoe, stressed that government procurement of goods and services must transform from a mere administrative process into a strategic instrument to drive inclusive and sustainable national economic growth.
Carrying the theme ‘From Digitalisation to Modern Procurement: Data-Based Transformation for a Golden Indonesia’, the event, which runs from 29 to 31 July 2026, targets the attendance of approximately 15,000 participants and 130 goods and services providers.
In his remarks, Juan noted that government spending, which exceeds Rp 3,000 trillion annually, combined with the infrastructure investment needs towards Indonesia Emas 2045 estimated at over Rp 30,000 trillion, represents a significant capital base for the Indonesian economy. ‘This spending is not just about disbursing the budget, but about how every rupiah from the state and regional budgets can become an investment that creates jobs, strengthens national industry, empowers MSMEs, drives innovation, and provides market certainty for businesses,’ he asserted.
Kadin welcomed LKPP’s efforts to modernise procurement through the strengthening of the data-based e-Katalog. However, it also highlighted ongoing challenges on the ground, such as certification hurdles, limited working capital, and a lack of digital literacy still faced by MSMEs and regional business actors.
The transformation of national procurement is expected not only to stop at domestic market digitalisation but also to serve as a springboard for national businesses to enter the global supply chain. To achieve this, Kadin Indonesia has set three main commitments: strengthening synergy with LKPP to create a healthy, competitive, and transparent business climate; expanding the participation of MSMEs, cooperatives, and regional industries in the procurement supply chain while enhancing their competitiveness; and optimising government procurement as an instrument to attract investment, strengthen regional economic growth, and prepare businesses to go global.
Kadin further emphasised that ICEF and IPFE 2026 must not be merely ceremonial exhibitions but a national collaborative marketplace producing measurable impact. Within the next six months, Kadin is pushing for the realisation of large-scale business matching agreements and a significant increase in the number of MSMEs and regional cooperatives registered in the e-Katalog.
Kadin believes that when the government, businesses, financing institutions, investors, and professional associations move together, procurement ceases to be a development cost and becomes a driver of development. According to Juan, Indonesia Emas 2045 is not built solely by the size of the budget. ‘Indonesia Emas is built by collaboration. Collaboration between ministries, between central and regional governments, between regulators and businesses, between industries and MSMEs, and between good policy and professional execution. ICEF and IPFE 2026 are proof that such collaboration can be realised,’ he said.
Over the three-day event, ICEF-IPFE will feature a range of activities, including talkshows, business matching, technical guidance, and professional certification, all designed to enhance the competence of procurement actors while opening new business opportunities for the private sector.
The event targets 15,000 visitors from various government agencies, including Budget Users, Commitment Making Officers, Procurement Officers, and Procurement Service Units, as well as the Association of Indonesian City Governments. The presence of these decision-makers from government agencies across Indonesia makes ICEF-IPFE one of the most strategic platforms for companies to introduce products and services to the government procurement market.
The exhibition will occupy a gross area of 1,800 square metres, with an exhibition space of 1,023 square metres. A total of 50 booths will be filled by 39 exhibitors, comprising 29 companies and 10 institutions, showcasing various innovations. A wide range of products, services, and technological solutions will be introduced as part of efforts to support the transformation of government procurement of goods and services towards a more effective and sustainable system.
One of the main attractions of ICEF-IPFE is the opportunity for businesses to meet directly with buyers from ministries, agencies, regional governments, and State-Owned Enterprises. Through business matching forums, participants can present their products and services directly to budget users and procurement officials from various regions across Indonesia. The event also opens opportunities for companies to expand their access to the government’s e-Catalogue and the growing procurement systems of state-owned enterprises.
ICEF-IPFE serves as a stage for national flagship products to be showcased before thousands of public sector decision-makers. In addition to the physical exhibition space, the organisers have also provided a digital showcase allowing participants to introduce their product innovations and service solutions more widely. Products with a high Domestic Component Level will receive special attention as a form of support for the national industry.
