ICDX Acting President Director Nursalam stated that this growth reflects the increasing public interest in utilising Digital Physical Gold Trading as an alternative investment. He added that as an exchange, ICDX will continue to maintain the independence and transparency of trading, as well as conduct ongoing literacy and education involving all stakeholders, from regulators to digital gold traders. There are currently six digital gold traders that are members of the ICDX: PT Indogold Makmur Sejahtera (Indogold), PT Indonesia Logam Pratama (Treasury), PT Laku Emas Indonesia (Laku Emas), PT Syariah Koin Indonesia (ShariaCoin), PT Aneka Tambang (Persero) Tbk (Brankas LM), and PT Pluang Emas Sejahtera (Pluang). Chairman of the Indonesian Digital Gold Traders Association (PPEDI) Anang Samsudin said that the growth in digital gold transactions in the first half of 2026 was driven by several factors, including increasing public literacy about digital gold and high gold price volatility. He noted that digital gold has become a choice for investors to diversify assets or save as part of long-term financial planning. PPEDI continues to support its members in improving public literacy and collaborating with various parties to expand the digital gold market in Indonesia. Customer protection and security remain the association’s top priority, with ongoing coordination with relevant institutions to ensure transaction security, including ensuring the availability of physical gold assets at a 1:1 ratio as the underlying asset for gold owned by investors.
