JAKARTA - The Indonesia Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (ICDX) recorded a total value of commodity futures trading transactions reaching Rp 12.477 trillion throughout the first quarter of 2026. ICDX Director Nursalam stated that the total transaction value (notional value) for that period increased by 96% compared to the same period the previous year, which stood at Rp 6.360 trillion. Meanwhile, the transaction volume for the same period was 2,610,010 lots, up 19% from 2,435,491 lots in the first quarter of the previous year. “This transaction record in the first quarter certainly marks a good start for the commodity futures trading industry in 2026,” he said in a written statement on Thursday (2/4/2026). During this period, the multilateral transaction volume reached 460,402 lots, growing 13% from 408,076 lots in the first quarter of 2025. The total transactions also came from the alternative trading system, with a transaction value of Rp 12.366 trillion, up 95% from Rp 6.327 trillion in the same period in 2025. The transaction volume in the alternative trading system was 2,149,608 lots, increasing 6% from 2,027,415 lots in the first quarter of 2025. He is optimistic that by the end of this year, the value of commodity futures trading transactions could grow by around 20% annually. “As the exchange organising the trading, we will continue to enhance services to all stakeholders, of course, in efforts to improve the performance of the commodity futures trading industry in Indonesia,” he added.
