iCar V23 Officially On Sale From Rp389,900,000

Jakarta — Chery Group Indonesia has again surprised the market with its new sub-brand, iCar, by announcing the official price of the V23 model starting from Rp389,900,000 on Saturday 23 May 2026.

Chery Group Indonesia President Director Zeng Shuo said the price is not a special programme offered to a select subset of customers. Rather, it is the retail price of the boxy-styled electric SUV in Indonesia.

‘This is not pre-booking or anything like that; this is the official launch,’ he said at the launch ceremony in Jakarta on Saturday.

He also stated that the iCar V23 has been locally assembled completely knock-down (CKD). That is one reason why the company can push the price down and stay competitive.

The iCar V23 is designed for those who view a car not merely as a means of transport but as part of lifestyle and personal statement.

Its design blends a classic boxy SUV vibe with a modern, simple, bold, and functional touch. This approach makes the V23 stand out from many urban EVs that tend to be overly futuristic.

iCar offers two drive options: RWD (Rear Wheel Drive) and iWD, or Intelligent Wheel Drive, which powers all wheels to cope with various road conditions.

Meanwhile, the iWD variant is the choice for customers seeking greater capability for adventures.

In terms of performance, the V23 does not disappoint. The 2WD variant delivers up to 100 kW with a 60 kWh battery, while the iWD version produces up to 155 kW with an 82 kWh battery, and a range of up to 430 kilometres, according to the NEDC standard.
