iCar to Open 30 3S Dealerships in Indonesia by End of 2026
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - iCar Indonesia is expanding its sales network across the country following the official launch of the iCar V23 electric SUV priced from Rp 389.9 million. Chery Group Indonesia Managing Director Zeng Shuo said the construction of iCar’s dealership network is already underway in major cities across Indonesia. ‘This year, we have already started construction with 25 dealerships. By year-end, we plan to complete 30 officially opened 3S dealerships,’ Zeng Shuo said during the iCar V23 launch on Saturday, May 23, 2026. ‘This ensures customers receive not only vehicle sales but also maintenance and spare parts availability.’ ‘So showrooms and workshops,’ Zeng added. ‘Locations planned for iCar’s dealership network include Jakarta, the SCBD area, Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK), and Medan.’ ‘We will open in Jakarta, SCBD, PIK, Medan, and other major Indonesian cities,’ he said. According to Zeng, the dealership expansion aims to support the growth of the electric vehicle market and simplify after-sales service for consumers. The V23 comes with two drivetrain options — Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) and Intelligent Wheel Drive (iWD) — available in three variants: X, Y, and Z. In terms of design, the electric SUV features a rugged yet modern boxy shape paired with 21-inch alloy wheels. The RWD variant is powered by a single 100 kW (136 PS) electric motor with 180 Nm torque. It uses a 59.93 kWh LFP battery, offering a range of up to 360 km under NEDC standards or 401 km under CLTC. The iWD variant features dual electric motors with a combined output of 155 kW (211 PS) and 292 Nm torque. This variant uses an 81.76 kWh NMC battery, with a claimed range of 430 km under NEDC or 501 km under CLTC.
