IBM offers package to SMEs

JAKARTA (JP): PT IBM Indonesia will launch a special sale
package next week to promote e-commerce transactions among small
and medium scaled companies.

IBM Software Manager Ayu Bisono said here on Thursday that the
computer giant would offer hardware and software including IBM's
WebSphere, software designed to integrate computer operating
systems with web applications.

Companies joining the program can buy the hardware and
software at a special price according to their needs and budget,
he said.

According to Ayu, the program is part of IBM's effort to
increase Internet awareness among businesses in the region and
will be introduced to member countries of the Association of
Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

"The price of the packages range from US$3,000 to $23,000,
depending on the kind of products needed," Ayu said, adding that
prices differ between countries.(10)
