IBCSD Urges Acceleration of Climate Investment for Industrial Decarbonisation Through Business Forum
JAKARTA - Indonesia’s industrial decarbonisation efforts require more than just commitments. Project readiness, access to appropriate financing, and collaboration between industry players and financial institutions are crucial to accelerating the transition to a low-carbon economy.
This was a key focus at the Business Forum for Project Developers and Financing Institutions: Accelerating Climate Investment for Industrial Decarbonisation in Indonesia, organised by the Indonesia Business Council for Sustainable Development (IBCSD) and Sustainable Energy Transition in Indonesia (SETI) on Thursday (21/5) in Jakarta.
The forum brought together representatives from industry, financing institutions, government, and technical organisations to discuss challenges in climate investment and opportunities for low-carbon project financing. Nationally, strengthening energy transition and carbon trading ecosystems is increasingly opening up financing opportunities for industrial decarbonisation actions.
In her address, IBCSD Executive Director Indah Budiani stressed the importance of project readiness and access to appropriate financing in speeding up decarbonisation.
