IAPVC 2026 to showcase wildlife storytelling through photography
International Animal Photo & Video Competition (IAPVC) 2026, organised by Taman Safari Indonesia, serves as an international platform for wildlife storytelling through photography and videography.
“IAPVC is a legacy worth celebrating annually, a long journey that continues to connect creativity, education, and the spirit of nature conservation through visual works,” said Agus Santoso, Board Advisory of Taman Safari Indonesia Group, in a statement on Tuesday.
This year’s IAPVC was launched on Saturday, 23 May at Taman Bendera Pusaka in Jakarta under the theme “From Lens to Legacy”. The theme was chosen to illustrate how photography and videography can transcend mere visual documentation, delivering meaningful messages where each image has the power to inspire and create a legacy of awareness that benefits future generations.
IAPVC 2026 features nine categories in the Wildlife Photo Competition, providing a platform for photographers and filmmakers to showcase their creativity, technical quality, and storytelling perspectives in capturing the beauty and diversity of wildlife.
Agus added that IAPVC 2026 will include a series of engaging programmes, such as photography workshops in schools and universities, and an international wildlife photo and video competition.
All entries will be judged by a panel of professionals in wildlife photography, filmmaking, and conservation, followed by an Awarding Night to recognise the winners.
For over 35 years, IAPVC has served as a visual storytelling platform connecting art, education, tourism, and conservation, while building a legacy celebrated annually for future generations.
“During this launch, we also officially established the IAPVC Photography Community as part of IAPVC’s long journey that has grown and evolved over the years. This community serves as a platform for wildlife and nature photography enthusiasts to continue creating, sharing inspiration, and strengthening conservation messages through visuals,” he added.
