Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia (HMID) will hold various events at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026, scheduled to take place from 29 July to 9 August at Hall 2C of the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD, Tangerang, Banten. Chief Operating Officer of PT HMID Fransiscus Soerjopranoto said that during GIIAS 2026, the company will introduce new car models covering internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles, electric vehicles (EV), and hybrid electric vehicles (HEV). “Our strategy at GIIAS is to present a balanced choice of powertrains for the Indonesian market, from ICE, HEV, to EV simultaneously, so consumers can choose a vehicle that truly suits their needs,” he said in Jakarta on Thursday (2/7). Hyundai also plans to showcase a seven-seater electric car that will be produced locally in Indonesia, as well as the IONIQ 3. In addition to exhibiting vehicles, the South Korean manufacturer will hold various events during GIIAS 2026, including activities related to the Hyundai Cup 2026, the ASEAN Cup tournament which this year adopts a new name following Hyundai’s official partnership. The company has prepared a Hyundai Cup Corner at the Hyundai booth, a themed exhibition, the Hyundai Cup Slogan Challenge, community convoys, and watch-together events at the N Brand Experience Center, Hyundai Motorstudio Senayan Park, and selected dealers. Consumers who purchase a Stargazer or participate in a test drive session will receive a limited-edition side mirror cushion cover and an exclusive car tag. President Director of PT HMID Kenny Lee said Indonesia is an important market for Hyundai. “We believe that the excellence of mobility should be enjoyed by everyone. GIIAS 2026 is a momentum for us to realise that commitment concretely, presenting our most exciting EV lineup to date alongside the launch of new models that will expand choices for Indonesian consumers,” he said.
