Hyundai Service Users Can Now Borrow Cars for Free
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Cars sometimes need to be left at the workshop for more than one day during servicing, forcing vehicle owners to find alternative transportation to support their daily mobility.
To assist consumers facing such issues, PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia (HMID) has introduced a new service allowing customers to borrow Hyundai vehicles for free from official dealers while their cars are being repaired.
According to Hyundai Motors Indonesia’s Chief Operating Officer, Fransiscus Soerjopranoto, in Jakarta on Thursday, the free vehicle loan service under the Hyundai Premium Courtesy Car programme is available to owners using general servicing or vehicle repairs at official dealers.
“We have more than 100 branches plus nearly 90 workshops, and we ensure that every workshop has at least one unit (vehicle for loan), whether for general repair (routine servicing) or body repair,” he said.
The total number of vehicles provided at Hyundai’s official dealers in Indonesia for customers needing a loan during repairs is 250 units, with around 170 of them being electric vehicles, including the Hyundai Ioniq 5.
“This is what I must emphasise: no charges are applied to our customers, so it’s zero cost,” Fransiscus stated.
“So, customers just come in, and if the workshop’s service advisor estimates that it needs to stay overnight, they will receive this courtesy car,” he added.
Fransiscus explained that the Hyundai Premium Courtesy Car service is part of the company’s efforts to introduce more consumers to the experience of driving electric vehicles.
“We are also giving customers the opportunity to experience vehicles they might not have considered for a test drive, but through this, they get a chance to feel the premium experience, including our premium EVs,” he said.
This service can be utilised by all Hyundai vehicle users. There are no restrictions on the year of production or mileage of the vehicle required.
The models of vehicles available for loan to service users vary, including the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Creta, and Stargazer.
The loan duration for vehicles under this service is a maximum of 17 days, but it may be extended as needed with the dealer’s approval.
