Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia (HMID) is preparing several new products for Indonesian consumers, including new vehicle models among them.

HMID Chief Operating Officer Fransiscus Soerjopranoto stated that the company plans to present surprises at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026.

“We are preparing several new products; there will be surprises from us at GIIAS 2026. A surprise could be like today’s introduction of the Premium Courtesy Car,” he said in Jakarta on Thursday.

“But I assure you there will be surprises at GIIAS, whether in the form of products or otherwise; your friends will surely be amazed,” he added.

According to Fransiscus, the company is evaluating vehicle models suitable for the Indonesian market.

“For our products, we are studying what products are suitable to bring to Indonesia; there are approximately three to four models that we are already studying for the Indonesian market,” he said.

“Certainly in line with that, we will have more balanced powertrains for Indonesian society; just wait and see,” he said.

In the first quarter of 2026, HMID launched the Creta Alpha and Santa Fe XRT cars in the Indonesian market.

The New Hyundai Creta Alpha was launched in early January, and the All-New Hyundai Santa Fe XRT was launched at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2026 in February.
