Hyundai Motor prepares more than 100 new car models until 2030

Hyundai Motor Co. plans to prepare more than 100 new car models and updated vehicle models until 2030 in an effort to strengthen the company’s position in the global automotive market.

According to Yonhap news, Hyundai Motor CEO Jose Munoz stated during the CEO Investor Day in Seoul, South Korea, on Wednesday (26/8), that this plan is part of the company’s efforts to enhance competitiveness.

Of the more than 100 car models planned for introduction by the South Korean vehicle manufacturer by 2030, 18 will be entirely new models.

The company plans to launch the Genesis GV80 hybrid in South Korea and the United States at the end of 2026 and release an extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) in the first half of 2027.

The Tucson SUV, one of Hyundai Motor’s best-selling models, along with its hybrid variant, is scheduled to launch in the second half of 2026.

The company’s targets include increasing vehicle production by 500,000 units in North America, 320,000 units in India, 200,000 units in South Korea, and 250,000 units through completely knocked-down (CKD) production.

The company maintains a global sales target of 5.55 million vehicles by 2030 and aims to increase the share of electrified vehicle sales to 60 per cent of total global vehicle sales by the same year.
