Jakarta (ANTARA) - Hyundai has officially brought its electric car brand, Ioniq, to the Chinese market by introducing a dedicated electric vehicle ecosystem named “Ioniq Universe”.

As reported by Car News China on Friday local time, this is marked by the debut of two concept cars, namely the Venus Concept and the Earth Concept.

In addition, Hyundai has confirmed it will introduce the first mass-production vehicle specifically designed for the Chinese market at the Beijing Auto Show 2026.

Hyundai describes “Ioniq Universe” as an ecosystem tailored specifically for Chinese consumers, with a concept that places users at the centre. In this approach, all Ioniq products and services are likened to planets orbiting the consumer like the sun.

In line with this concept, Hyundai will name its Ioniq models in China after planets.

The Venus Concept features an aerodynamic design with a golden exterior and a single curved profile. The car is equipped with various futuristic elements such as a lightweight roof, transparent spoiler, and V-shaped lighting system.

In the interior, the car offers an immersive cabin with crystal-style lighting and ergonomic seats that combine comfort and a sporty feel.

The Earth Concept’s interior is designed with a “Little Earth” concept that provides a calm and comfortable cabin, including the use of air-module-based seats to enhance passenger comfort.

In technology development, Hyundai is partnering with Chinese technology company Momenta to deliver AI-based autonomous driving technology adapted to local road conditions.

Additionally, Hyundai will integrate internal combustion engines with batteries through an extended-range scheme to address consumer concerns about electric vehicle range.
