Hybrid orchid on display

JAKARTA (JP): The Jakarta branch of the Indonesian Orchid
Lovers Association (PAI), in cooperation with Pasar Seni Ancol,
will hold a domestic hybrid orchid exhibition from Oct. 31 to
Nov. 10 at Pasar Seni Ancol. It will be open from 9.a.m to 9.p.m.

The exhibition will commemorate PAI's 40th anniversary and
help popularize orchids. The exhibition will also evaluate local
orchid farmers' success in nursing domestic hybrid orchid
flowers, an organizer said.

He said he hoped the event would help boost local hybrid
orchid farmers' creativity and productivity.

An exhibition of orchid paintings and other decorative plants
will also be held. (bas)
