Hyatt Yogyakarta opens

JAKARTA (JP): Minister of Tourism, Post and Telecommunications Joop Ave officially opened the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Yogyakarta over the weekend.

The five-star hotel is owned by PT Antilope Madju, under the management of Hyatt International, Antara reported.

Antilope's president Amir Abdulrahman said the company spent about US$66 million on the project, $45 million of which came from syndicated loans.

The hotel is built on a 25-hectare plot and was inspired by the design of the Borobudur temple in Yogyakarta.

The hotel has 269 rooms and other facilities, including a miniature golf course and driving range. (das)
