Hyatt, Novotel gets new GMs
YOGYAKARTA: The five-star Hyatt Regency Yogyakarta hotel and
four-star Novotel Yogyakarta have new general managers.
Makassar-born Rizal Ruriko Kasim was installed as the new GM
of the Hyatt Regency hotel by the president of the Hyatt
International Cooperation, Bern Chorengel, earlier last moth.
Previously French-born Fabrice Mini was installed as Novotel
Yogyakarta's new GM.
The 41-year-old Kasim started his carrier with Hyatt
International in 1992 as Front Office Assistant Manager at the
Grand Hyatt Bali. He then served as the General Manager of the
Hyatt Regency Surabaya before being assigned to the Hyatt Regency
Yogyakarta.
Meanwhile, Fabrice Mini started his carrier in Indonesia in
1997 as the general manager of the Tanjung Lesung Resort in West
Java. He moved to the Novotel Toraja the following year and was
installed as the general manager of the Ibis Mangga Dua Hotel and
Apartments in 2002.
He held this position until mid 2005 before being offered the
number-one spot in the Novotel Yogyakarta, where he has pledged
to further improve the hotel's service quality.
"My family and I like Yogyakarta. The people are friendly and
full of smiles," Fabrice, who speaks Indonesian fluently, said
about his new post in Yogyakarta. --JP
