PT Hutama Karya (Persero) has recorded a positive performance in toll road management, particularly on the Trans-Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS) network. The company is currently constructing approximately 1,185 km of JTTS, comprising 829 km of operational sections and 356 km under construction. In total, Hutama Karya manages 14 toll road sections across Indonesia, including the JTTS as the backbone of Sumatra’s connectivity, along with the JORR-S and Tanjung Priok Access toll roads in Java.

Finance Director Eka Setya Adrianto stated that the JTTS management is showing increasingly solid performance, driven by the growing number of connected sections, rising traffic volumes, and improved operational and financial metrics. Toll road revenue grew by approximately 26.8% in 2025 compared to 2024, with its contribution to consolidated revenue rising to 16.83%. The business also achieved a positive Earnings After Tax in 2025, reversing a previous negative position.

Director of Operations III Iwan Hermawan highlighted the broader benefits of the JTTS for communities, noting that the toll roads have significantly reduced travel times, facilitated logistics distribution, and opened access to economic, educational, healthcare, and tourism centres. A regular user, Titha Monica Hardi, confirmed the practical advantages, stating that the Pekanbaru-Dumai toll road has made her daily commute faster and more comfortable, while the Pekanbaru-XIII Koto Kampar and Padang-Sicincin sections have greatly improved her hometown trips.
