Hush Now, Prabowo Reveals Tip-Off About Idle Corruptors' Funds Worth Rp 39 Trillion
The revelation was made by Prabowo while delivering directives at the handover ceremony of funds seized by the Forest Area Regulation Task Force (Satgas PKH) amounting to Rp 10.2 trillion at the Attorney General’s Office in Jakarta on Wednesday (13/5/2026). Prabowo stated that the Rp 39 trillion in funds were found in bank accounts suspected to belong to corruptors that have been inactive for a long time.
“And I also received a report that there is approximately Rp 39 trillion in unclear funds. The corruptors or criminals might have fled Indonesia or died, leaving their money in unclear accounts,” said Prabowo.
According to Prabowo, the heirs of these corruptors are also unaware that one of their family members had cash assets in those accounts. The buried funds then went unclaimed for years and were eventually traced by the government.
Prabowo said that after no claims from the family side, the idle funds would be confiscated by the state. The trillions of rupiah, according to Prabowo, would be used for the people’s interests.
“Perhaps he had many young wives or mistresses, so his wives and heirs didn’t know he had money in those banks. It’s been years unmanaged. Well, I say, if it’s been years unmanaged and we’ve announced it for a year, announced, announced, no one comes, then transfer it for the people,” explained Prabowo.
He explained that his current government would intensify the improvement of several infrastructures that have long been neglected. Prabowo cited receiving a report from the Health Minister regarding 30,000 puskesmas that have not been repaired since the era of the second President Soeharto.
The renovation of thousands of public buildings, said Prabowo, would use money from the seizure of corruptors’ assets.
“Brothers and sisters, today that means we can complete 5,000 puskesmas with Rp 10 trillion. If next month another Rp 10 trillion comes in from the Task Force, plus Rp 39 trillion from PPATK, that means Rp 49 trillion. That means we can easily repair all puskesmas. Schools that haven’t been repaired can be fixed soon,” he said.
Prabowo added that the seizure of corruptors’ money would also be used to repair tens of thousands of schools and madrasah in Indonesia. The government targets 100,000 school buildings to be renovated.
“Next year we will repair 100,000, the year after that 100,000, and the year after that we will complete all madrasah and so on, we will repair everything with money that if we don’t save it, that money would be lost to the corruptors and thieves and robbers,” concluded Prabowo.
